POSITIVE

In the Report to Albertans, June 2007.....

the focus was that the province was taking action to manage growth pressures in Calgary. "Alberta's phenomenal growth presents some challenges."

Paradise Gardens Enterprises foresaw this situation and began developing a new non-government option. A high-bred cross between Entrepreneurship and Charity. It comes from the Alberta thinking of :

Don't depend on the government for what you can do for yourself.

Paradise Gardens Enterprises is a private company building a private garden environment for the exclusive use of the respectful public.

Products are designed and brought to market to grow Paradise Gardens Enterprises in order to purchase land and operate Peace Gardens, supporting Alberta families and friends around the world.

Peace Gardens
Monetary Goals and Benefits

Creating a way for seniors, handicapped and stay at home moms to earn extra income through doing piece work, producing products for retail sale through Paradise Gardens Enterprises.

Creating real food resources for the food bank through the greenhouses and gardens which will be seeded, tended and harvested by daily volunteers, seniors who miss their own gardens, and young school children who are learning about nature.

Creates venues for Cultural Fair Events to use without cost, encouraging more cultural participation as well as an opportunity to promote visiting that culture throughout the year.

Developing a completely self-sustainable water and energy system to be independent from city systems to lesson the drain on their capital expenses for infrastructure, and to be self-sufficient in case of drought, or black-outs. In the long run, it will insulate heating and lighting costs for Peace Gardens.

Create new jobs for permanent positions in security, food services, first aid station, life guarding, and alternate energy areas. Along with other jobs like sanitation, janitorial, teaching, and others being filled by volunteer rotation.

Providing partnering opportunities with building companies to donate left-over wood and stone materials to the wood-working studios for retired wood-lovers to teach others fine craftsmanship and to build furniture and toys for those who cannot afford them.

Create Oakridge Homes to build specialized complexes for single parent homes to provide extra resources to accommodate the special needs of the parents and their children and to promote community within the complex.

Provide public health information in dental, nutrition, typical childhood sickness (colds, flus) to prevent tooth rot in children and adults, mal-nutrition which is a major aspect of depression and ADD.

Creating a cultural and educational center without cost to the tax payer. This center will have numerous financial benefits to many as well as community benefits of having stronger, healthier and happier residents. It will have a domino effect on communities, schools, crime levels, participation in community projects and neighborliness.
